Karl is an upholsterer by trade

For almost 25 years, Karl has been servicing the upholstery needs of Vancouver's Lower Mainland through his business Top Surface Upholstery. His overnight service to gyms, restaurants, medical clinics, and casinos is unprecedented and very popular - because a business shouldn't stop when the upholstery needs repair.  His attention to detail is evident in the exquisite craftsmanship of each piece he does. So you'll be happy to hear that all Physio Covers we mail out are hand-made by Karl.

Jen is a business builder

In the 14 years, these two have been together Jen has built and grown numerous businesses.  When these two come across a problem, their quirky inventions often become sellable products that Jen works her magic on.  She was even on Dragons' Den with their garden tool invention  Seeding Square.  (For our American friends visiting the site, Dragons' Den is Canada's version of Shark Tank, and yes...she got the deal!)  When you're emailing or phoning Physio Covers, Jen is who you'll be chatting with. She's also the lady in our demonstration video.

Along came COVID

With the arrival of COVID, many decided it was time to start a family vegetable garden, so Jen found herself working double time with Seeding Square.  With the closure of gyms, restaurants, and casinos - Karl found himself with time on his hands.  However, when it came to physiotherapy upholstery, the phone kept ringing, as the upholstery on treatment tables broke down much faster due to the new cleaning protocols.   A problem he could sink his teeth into had arisen, and Karl was up to the task!  Many discussions were had by our dynamic duo, prototypes were made, and Physio Covers was born. Jen worked her business prowess, and now you can find Physio Covers in PT clinics across North America.
